The noble asparagus

Asparagus is much more than an ordinary vegetable. Elegant in appearance, delicate and unmistakable in flavour, renowned for its dietary effects, asparagus is a truly noble delicacy!

Südtirol has its famous ‘asparagus triangle’ embracing the three villages Terlan, Vilpian and Siebeneich, where it thrives in the sandy soils beside the Adige river. The soils also account for the distinctive, unique flavour of asparagus grown there.

Cultivation, harvesting and expert processing are all carried out by hand. The ‘Terlan Asparagus Cultivation Team’ guarantees the origin, quality and freshness of asparagus marketed under the name Margarete.
